Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with a free evening of carols, children’s activities and festive cheer in Queens Park!

Moonee Valley Pop-up library
The much-loved Moonee Valley library team will be popping up at Carols with some fun and engaging children’s activities. Pop past and say hello!
Moonee Valley Youth
Join the Valley Youth team and get yourself a temporary Christmas themed tattoo!
Moonee Valley Engagement
The Moonee Valley engagement team will be running some exciting children’s activities. Be sure to pay them a visit, have a chat and see what they are working on!
Valley Youth Tent
Join Valley Youth for a free temporary Christmas tattoo activity, suitable for all ages! There will also be a small marketspace with young stallholders selling cards, arts, plants and homemade cutting boards.
Hoop Sparx
Hoop Sparx was founded to inspire creativity, fun fitness and social connection through hula hoop dance. Keep your eyes peeled for some awesome hula hooping around Queens Park during Carols!
Micky Trickstar
With two decades of experience as an entertainer, including TV appearances, theatre and acting, Micky Trickstar guarantees hilarious, mesmerising, energetic and family-friendly entertainment!

FAQs
Children’s activities run from 4.30pm – 6.30pm. The concert will commence at 6.30pm and conclude by 8.30pm.
Parking is available in the surrounding streets but is limited. We encourage people to walk or catch public transport where possible. A Moonee Ponds Parking Map is available from this site: https://www.mvcc.vic.gov.au/mpparking
Bring your own bottle and refill at our Hydration Station. A bubbler is also available in the park.
There will be no ATMS on site. Vendors will have Eftpos facilities. Additional ATMs can be found on Puckle St or in Moonee Ponds Central.
Toilets and accessible toilets are located near the Mount Alexander Road and Pascoe Vale Road entrances.
Queens Park is an on-lead area and we anticipate the event will be very busy, with lots of children in attendance. We recommend that you leave you pets at home.
Santa will be making a quick stop to say hello and sing us a jolly song! There will be no meet and greet or Photo with Santa opportunities.
Yes, will have arrange of food and drink vendors onsite, but you are more than welcome to bring a picnic.
Please bring along your picnic blankets and low chairs. If you bring along higher camp chairs, please be considerate of your fellow audience members and erect your chair at rear sections or away from others’ viewing sightlines.
Please note this is a free family event and we encourage responsible drinking in non-breakable cups. General public may bring their own alcohol and the event will be monitored by security.
Please contact staff at the Information tent.
ID wrist bands will be available at the Information Tent, where parents can write their name and phone number and attach the band to the child. A Lost Children Point will be set up next to the Information tent next to the cenotaph. If you lose your child, please contact Event staff at Information Tent or moving around the site. Staff will be identifiable in high-vis vests.
Printed songbooks will no longer be sold at Carols in Queens Park. The program can be downloaded from Council’s website the week of the performance.
